Overview
The Barco NGS-D440 is a compact encoder that supports HDMI 2.0 compliant 4K60 AV sources for Barco CTRL and TransForm N systems. It uses Barco's image processing engine for scaling and colour space conversion, supports resolutions up to 3840 x 2160 at 60 fps and ultrawide formats up to 3840 x 1600, and has an HDMI 2.0 input with an active loop-through that creates a 1:1 copy of the input.
Power can come from PoE+ (802.3at, 25 W) or a 20 V USB-C supply, with dual 1 Gb copper network ports in active failover, which Barco says guarantees high uptime. It needs standard DHCP, DNS and NTP network services, is easy to discover and configure, and is centrally managed (for TransForm N via the NEM-110 Encoder Manager). The unit is 136 x 136 x 30 mm and weighs about 510 g.
