Shotgun Microphones in India

A shotgun microphone has a long, narrow pickup pattern aimed at the subject, so it captures what is in front of it and ignores much of what is to the sides. It is used on camera, on a boom pole and in broadcast and film, wherever the microphone must stay out of the frame but still record clean dialogue.

The range includes Shure modular shotgun microphones (VP89 in short, medium and long lengths) and the VP82 and VP83 camera-mount microphones, Audio-Technica shotgun microphones such as the AT897, AT875R, AT8035, AT8015, BP4071, BP4073, BP4027, BP4029 and BP28, the AT8024 stereo and mono camera-mount microphone, Sennheiser MKE 400 compact on-camera shotgun, and JBL CSSG01, CSSG10 and CSSG20.

Questions our clients ask before buying

If you don't see your question here, our consultants will gladly walk you through specifics on a discovery call.

What is a shotgun microphone?
A shotgun microphone has a long, narrow pickup pattern aimed at the subject. It captures sound from the front and rejects much of the sound from the sides, which makes it popular for video and broadcast.
What is the difference between on-camera and boom shotgun microphones?
On-camera models, such as the Sennheiser MKE 400 and JBL CSSG20, mount on the camera and are small and light. Boom-style models, such as the Shure VP89 and the Audio-Technica BP4071, are held on a pole closer to the subject for cleaner dialogue.
What does modular mean for the Shure VP89?
The Shure VP89 is a modular shotgun microphone sold in short (VP89S), medium (VP89M) and long (VP89L) lengths, so you can choose the length for the shot.
Do shotgun microphones need power?
Many condenser shotguns need phantom power or a battery. Check the product page for the power requirement of the model you choose.
Which brands do you supply?
We supply Audio-Technica, Shure and Sennheiser shotgun and camera-mount microphones, with JBL on-camera options.
Do you supply microphones across India?
