Podcast Room Design and Installation in Bangalore

A good podcast room starts with the room, not the microphone. Echo, outside noise and air conditioning hum show up in every recording, so we plan the acoustics first and then choose the microphones, mixer, headphones and cameras to suit the way you record.

Whether it is a two-person interview room in an office, a studio for a content team or a video podcast set, we handle the design, supply, installation and testing from one team. Podcast rooms build on our professional audio work, which also covers conference room audio, and our case studies show how we deliver AV projects in Bangalore.

WHAT IS IN A PODCAST ROOM

The Building Blocks of a Podcast Room

Every podcast room is built from the same few layers. We specify each one for your room size, the number of hosts and whether you record audio only or video as well.

For capture we use Shure, Audio-Technica and Sennheiser microphones, such as the Shure MV7+ and the Audio-Technica AT2040USB. Mixing is done on Allen & Heath or Bose mixers like the Bose T8S ToneMatch, and monitoring on JBL studio monitors such as the JBL 305P MkII.

The Room
Acoustic panels to control reflections and, where needed, construction to keep outside noise out.
Capture
Dynamic or condenser microphones on boom arms, or USB microphones for simple setups, from Shure, Audio-Technica and Sennheiser.
Mix and Monitor
Mixers or audio interfaces to combine voices, with closed-back headphones and studio monitors to hear them accurately.
Video
Cameras for video podcasts and live streams, planned together with the audio.

OUR PROCESS

How We Build Your Podcast Room

Every podcast room follows the same four steps, so you always know what happens next. They are part of our AV design, AV installation and testing and commissioning services, and we finish with training for your team.

01

Site Survey

We visit the room, measure it, check noise sources, power and network points, and agree how many hosts you record and whether you need video.

02

Design

We design the acoustic treatment and the equipment list together, with a layout and signal flow so you can see how the room will work before work starts.

03

Supply and Installation

We supply the equipment and install the acoustic treatment, microphones, mixer, cabling and cameras in your room in Bangalore.

04

Testing and Training

We test recording levels and room response and show your team how to record, so the first episode is ready to go.

Questions About Podcast Rooms

If you don't see your question here, our consultants will gladly walk you through specifics on a discovery call.

Do you install podcast rooms outside Bangalore?

Installation, commissioning and team training are delivered in Bangalore. We quote and supply podcast and studio equipment across India, so teams in other cities can still request a quote for studio microphones, mixers, headphones and the rest of the kit.

What does a podcast room need besides microphones?

A podcast room needs acoustic treatment to control echo and reflections, boom arms and microphone accessories, a mixer or audio interface, closed-back headphones for each host, and optionally studio monitors and cameras for video podcasts. We design these together so they work as one system.

What is the difference between acoustic treatment and soundproofing?

Acoustic treatment controls how sound behaves inside the room by reducing echo and reflections. Soundproofing stops outside noise from entering and stops sound from leaving. Most podcast rooms need acoustic treatment, and some also need extra isolation depending on the noise around them. Our AV design service plans both.

Should I choose a USB or an XLR microphone?

USB microphones plug straight into a computer and suit a single host with a simple setup, for example the Audio-Technica AT2040USB or the Sennheiser Profile USB. XLR microphones connect to a mixer or audio interface and suit rooms with several hosts. Some podcast microphones offer both, such as the Shure MV7+, which has USB-C and XLR outputs. For the wider picture on microphone types, read our guide to conference room microphones.

How many microphones does a podcast room need?

You need one microphone for each person who will speak, plus a spare channel if guests will join. The number of hosts also decides the size of the mixer or interface, so we ask for it at the site survey. Our guide to audio for auditoriums and events: mixers, speakers and DSP shows how mixers fit into a wider system.

Can the room record video as well as audio?

Yes. We supply and install cameras for video podcasts and live streams, such as the Logitech C925e from Logitech, and plan the room so that cameras, lighting positions and microphones stay out of each other's way.

What affects the cost of a podcast room?

The main factors are the size and condition of the room, how much acoustic treatment and isolation it needs, the number of hosts and microphones, the mixer or interface, and whether you want video. We quote against your room after a site survey, and our AV consultancy service can scope the room before you commit.

Which brands do you supply?

We supply Shure, Audio-Technica and Sennheiser microphones, Allen & Heath and Bose mixers, JBL studio monitors, Audio-Technica and Shure headphones, and Logitech cameras. Browse each brand page for the current range.

How do I get a quote for a podcast room?

Use the Request a Quote button and tell us your room, the number of hosts and whether you record video. A consultant will get back to you to arrange a site survey in Bangalore or to quote the equipment for a room elsewhere in India.
