The Absen PL V2 Series, also called Polaris V2, is an all-in-one rental LED display covering pixel pitches from 1.9 mm to 4.8 mm for both indoor and outdoor events, with 500 x 500 mm and 500 x 1000 mm panels.

It supports HDR, up to 16-bit grayscale and a 7,680 Hz refresh rate, and its platform design with common 500 mm panel increments makes screen size calculations simple.

The Polaris V2 series offers indoor pitches of 1.9, 2.5, 2.9 and 3.9 mm and outdoor pitches of 2.9, 3.9 and 4.8 mm on common 500 mm panels, so one platform covers festivals, corporate events and studios. HDR support, up to 16-bit grayscale and a 7,680 Hz refresh rate deliver premium image quality on camera or livestream without scanlines.

UltraBlack for xR and virtual studios

Absen UltraBlack technology reduces surface reflection and improves contrast, which makes the PL2.5 Pro V2 and PL2.5 XR V2 suitable for LED walls on xR stages and virtual studios. Narrow-pitch products of 2.5 mm and below also have automatic edge protection on each panel corner to reduce pixel damage.

Quick to rig and service

Magnet-assisted vertical side locks and an auto-eject system allow one-person assembly and quick disassembly. Curve connections run from -7.5° convex to +10° concave. Hanging, stacking, front and rear installation are supported, with an optional integrated wind-bracing system and a 15-in-1 dolly system for outdoor touring. Cube-version 500 x 500 mm panels allow cube and L-shaped displays, and outdoor 3.9 and 4.8 mm products can become floor displays with an optional PC mask.

How to choose the right size and pixel pitch

Pixel pitch is the distance between neighbouring LED pixels: a smaller pitch gives a sharper image that can be viewed from closer. As a common industry rule of thumb, the minimum comfortable viewing distance in metres is roughly equal to the pixel pitch in millimetres, so a 2.5 mm pitch suits viewers sitting about 2.5 m or further away. Across 1.9 mm to 4.8 mm, the smaller pitches suit indoor and camera-facing use, while 3.9 mm and 4.8 mm suit outdoor audiences further away.
