Transparency for large outdoor stages

The JP8 Pro uses an open mesh design with a 50% transparency rate, so wind passes through and the audience can see stage elements and lighting behind the image. That makes it a fit for large-scale outdoor concerts and festival stages.

Fast to rig, fast to service

The JP Pro series locking system and integrated wind-bracing are designed for quick setup. Panels can be hung or stacked, and with wind-bracing systems and hanging bars the 1000 x 1000 mm panels withstand Beaufort force 8 winds (up to 74 km/h) at rigging heights of 24 m, according to Absen. The 6-in-1 and 8-in-1 dolly systems help move panels between venues.

Large modules and an integrated power box with quick-release toggle latches allow tool-less removal and replacement, which keeps maintenance quick during an event.

How to choose the right size and pixel pitch

Pixel pitch is the distance between neighbouring LED pixels: a smaller pitch gives a sharper image that can be viewed from closer. As a common industry rule of thumb, the minimum comfortable viewing distance in metres is roughly equal to the pixel pitch in millimetres, so a 2.5 mm pitch suits viewers sitting about 2.5 m or further away. Large-format outdoor stages are usually viewed from tens of metres, so a coarser pitch is common; the JP8 Pro has an 8.9 mm pitch.
